Lady Knights take two from Hiwassee College Sunday, March 02, 2008 The Lady Knights swept Hiwassee College taking them to an 11-2 record. The Lady Knights lead both games which finished with a 5-1 victory in the first game and a 9-4 victory in the second game. Both Caitlyn Murdaugh and Austin Long were able to hold Hiwassee College to only 5 runs in two games. The Lady Knights bats came alive with 17 hits in two games.  Leading hitters include  Kayla Adams with her first triple of the year, Hillary Stringer and Ashlee Parrish who both had doubles in the second game. Chambree Pugh came off the bench  in two pinch hit apperances and drove in 4 rbi's. The Lady Knights swept Hiwassee College taking them to an 11-2 record. ... more

Lady Knights Sweep Cleveland Community College Saturday, March 01, 2008 On Saturday March 1, the Aiken Technical College Lady Knights swept Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, TN. Austin Long received the win in game one throwing a 3-hitter. The Lady Knights won 8-2 with leading hitter Chambree Pugh who was 2-2 and drove in 3 rbi’s. In the second game Caitlyn Murdaugh received the win holding Cleveland State to only 2 runs. In the top of the 7th inning Hillary Stringer doubled to score Brittany Raneri to send the game into extra innings. In the top of the eighth inning Brittany Raneri singled to score Ana Herrera to give the Lady Knights who now have a record of 9-2 the lead. The Lady Knights will play Hiwassee tomorrow at 1pm in Madisonville, TN.    On Saturday March 1, the Aiken Technical College Lady Knights swept Cleveland State Community College in Cleveland, TN. Ringor Invitational Tournament Friday, February 22, 2008 The Aiken Technical College Softball team had a strong showing at the Ringor Invitational Tournament. ATC opened the tournament with a Friday night victory over Coastal Georgia in a come from behind victory to win 7-6. Kayla Adams and Kellie Hair were leading hitters. ATC played a second game on Friday against Gordon College and won 2-1. ATC got off to a rocky start against Walters state 29th ranked on Saturday with their first loss 3-0. The victories put the Lady Knights in the Gold bracket where they would face Gadsden State. The Lady Knights had another come from behind victory in the 7th inning with 2 outs to pull out another win against Gadsden State. The Knights continued in the gold bracket where they faced Georgia Perimeter. The Lady Knights came up short against Georgia Perimeter with a 9-4 loss. Georgia Perimeter went on to win the Ringor Invitational. The Lady Knights will travel to Cleveland State on Feb. 29th in Cleveland, TN.
