QuestATC at Aiken Technical College includes three different weekly summer teen camps, with each camp helping to develop a teen’s ability to solve problems, communicate, and work in teams. Come join us for a summer of fun, education and exploration!

Grade Level: 8th-10th    Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM    Cost: $129 per student


Science | June 16 – 20, 2014 - Registration ends June 10
A week long camp focused on a crime scene investigation. Camp participants will use DNA sampling, fingerprinting, and skin-cell swabbing to help solve a crime. Each day campers will apply STEM applications through the use of genetic composition, physiological activity and forensic scientific methods. Includes field trips to places such as: a local sheriff’s office and crime lab, a local Coroner’s Office, ATC’s Criminal Justice Lab and more!
Technology | June 23 – 27, 2014 - Registration ends June 17
A week long camp focused on the disappearance of Amelia Earhart. Camp participants will apply STEM applications through the use of new technological advances: satellite imagery, Google earth, and radio transmitter sound bits. Each day campers will select specific computer applications and historical research to help solve the mystery. Includes field trips to places such as: a local Airport, local 911 Dispatch, National Weather Center, and a local news channel!
Engineering & Manufacturing | July 7 – 11, 2014 - Registration ends July 1
A week long camp focused on a mock radiation spill in a manufacturing plant. Camp participants will apply STEM applications through the use of personal protection equipment, radiation detecting sensors, and engineering applications. Each day campers will use manufacturing procedures to detect possible contamination and conduct proper clean-up methods. Includes field trips to places such as: local manufacturing facilities and ATC’s Radiation Protection Technology Training lab!
