Advanced Facilities

Aiken Technical College boasts some of the most modern educational facilities in the CSRA.

Our state-of-the-art Health Sciences building came online in 2004 and features complete radiological tech, nursing and surgical tech labs, all with the most current up-to-date equipment.

The Dale Phelon Information Technology Center has more than 50 computer workstations available for student use in addition to wireless internet access for those desiring to use their own laptops. Here students can search for and request books from nearly every library in South Carolina, including the collections at the Univesrsity of South Carolina. Additionally more than 5,000 online magazines and 18,000 books can be accessed.

The CSRA Manufacturing and Technology Training Center, completed in 2004,has the latest labs equipped to teach chemical operations, programmable logic controls and modern electrical and mechanical system as well as environmental safety. Our F.A.S.T. lab is the most advanced facility for learning fire suppression systems in the southeastern United States.

Our new Test Center is among the first to offer Workkeys in the CSRA. This ultimate in workforce skills assessment is being used by Stone Webster to screen employees at the Department of Energy’s MOX facility in Aiken. Additionally, more than 50 other examinations are offered, including the FAA pilot exams, MS Office Specialist tests, CLEP and Prometric tests.

Many of ATC’s classrooms feature the latest in teaching technologies, including modern computers, digital audio/visual equipment and high-speed internet access.

There’s also a new Academic Success Center with a full-time staff to help you tackle the toughest classes. Plus the campus features a gymnasium, weight room, full-service bookstore, cafeteria and much, much more.
