Aiken Technical College provides a quality education at a fraction of the cost of four-year institutions. Full-time tuition for Aiken County residents is approximately half the cost of tuition at a four-year college. Residents of surrounding counties in South Carolina and Georgia pay only a minimal, additional tuition fee.

Students who wish to go on to a four-year degree can tackle their first two years at ATC, then take advantage of the college transfer program to complete the next two years elsewhere. ATC holds agreements with many four-year colleges and universities to help Associate in Arts or Associate in Science students seamlessly transfer their ATC degrees for junior class status. That’s a smart way to get four years of college at approximately a third of the cost!

If you aren’t able to seek immediate entry into your desired college or university as a consequence of enrollment caps, SAT scores, late application or other reasons, you can choose to pursue a General Studies Certificate. All courses in this certificate program may be applied to the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science Degree Programs at ATC. The achievement of a General Studies Certificate is an affordable milestone for future educational pursuits, including an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.

Financial aid options make an education at ATC even more affordable. Be sure to apply early to maximum your funding, and re-apply every year.

An investment in secondary education is well worth your while. High school graduates qualify for only 20 percent of today’s jobs, with most of those falling into basic service industry positions such as waiters, waitresses, fast food employees and janitors. Eighty percent of today’s jobs require a college education. For most of those jobs, you only need a two-year degree.
