ATC Athletics

The Aiken Technical College Athletics Program features two teams that compete in Region 10 of the National Junior College Athletics Association.
Men's Basketball: The ATC Knights men's basketball team competes at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I level. Their 30-game season begins in early November and ends with the NJCAA Region 10 Tournament in early March. The team began playing intercollegiate basketball in 1991 under Coach Charles Welch. Since 2004 the Knights have been led by Coach Bruce Capers and have achieved national rankings and major tournament wins.
Ladies' Fast-Pitch Softball: Under the leadership of Head Coach Mitch Smith and Assistant Coaches Jessica Strickland and Michelle Turner the ATC Lady Knights women’s softball team competes at the NJCAA Division 1 level. They play a 64-game schedule with their fall season beginning in mid-September and ending in early November. Their spring season starts in early February and runs until the NJCAA Region 10 Tournament in early May.
