Experiential clinical instructor to assist in Pharmacy Technician clinical visits for students assigned to various pharmacies in the Central Savannah River Area. The clinical instructor will assist with the coordination of student activities and the documentation of student progress.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Instruction including hands on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks that may include reports, syllabus and lesson plan development.
• Prepare and/or maintain current course syllabi for course taught.
• Ensure that course is taught in accordance with the established syllabi.
• Recommend for approval adequate instructional materials for course.
• Recommend adequate laboratory facilities/equipment for assigned course.
• Supervision of students.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Associate's degree required. Applicant is required to have graduated from an American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) accredited program and be a SC State Certified Pharmacy Technician. In addition, applicant must have demonstrated contribution and commitment to pharmacy practice and patient care and have three (3) years experience in the type of pharmacy setting for which they are training students. Applicant will be the liaison between site and the program director to ensure that the student receives the intended educational experience and is effectively evaluated. This position requires travel to various clinical agencies within the CSRA.
