Bridgestone Plant Manager Appointed to ATC Governing Board

South Carolina Gov. Nikki R. Haley has appointed a new Commissioner to the Aiken County Commission for Technical and Comprehensive Education, the governing board for Aiken Technical College.

Tim Painter, the plant manager of the Bridgestone Aiken passenger and light truck plant, was formally introduced Monday during the Commission’s regular meeting.

Prior to arriving in Aiken in May, Painter held several positions related to process engineering and operations management in Bridgestone plants in Tennessee. He also served as the Director of Process Engineering in the Bridgestone Americas office in Nashville, Tenn. He is currently in his 28th year working for Bridgestone.

Painter is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, Tenn.

Aiken Technical College and Savannah River Nuclear Solutions Partner to Offer Free Resume Writing Workshop

Aiken Technical College has collaborated with Savannah River Nuclear Solutions to offer a free resume writing and interviewing workshop in advance of the College’s annual Career Fair.

The resume writing and interviewing workshop will be held Tuesday, April 2 from 1-3 p.m. in the amphitheater (700 building).

Aiken Technical College to Host College Prep Seminar, Real Talk 101

Aiken Technical College will host a Real Talk 101: College Prep Seminar for area high school juniors and seniors on Saturday, March 30 from noon to 2 p.m. in the College’s amphitheater (700 building). The event is free, but registration is required.
