Deadline to Apply for WORC Scholarships

Applications are being accepted through July 29 for scholarships funded by the Workforce Opportunities in Regional Careers (WORC) grant. Scholarships are available for qualifying students enrolled in one of the following programs: radiation protection technology, nuclear quality systems, nuclear fundamentals, welding, industrial maintenance or electronics engineering. Selected recipients will receive a $2,000 scholarship for the 2016-17 school year.
  
Current and prospective students may apply for scholarships online through July 29. Current students must have at least a 2.5 GPA and commit to volunteering five hours in the Academic Success Center as a tutor or as a mentor with the POST ChalleNGe program.
  
New students enrolling for fall 2016 must have at least an WorkKeys applied technology score of four and provide a summary of their work or volunteer experience.

ATC Foundation to Host Second Annual Giving Gala Fundraising Event

The Aiken Technical College Foundation will host its second annual Giving Gala on Friday, October 5 at The Reserve Club at Woodside Plantation.

This year’s theme is Havana Nights with entertainment by West End Mambo, a six-piece band that plays a variety of classic salsa and Latin jazz.
