Dynamic Dialogues Lecture Series: "Save My Space: Hitchcock Woods"

Christine K. Rolka, executive director of Hitchcock Woods Foundation, will discuss the Hitchcock Woods during a Dynamic Dialogues lecture on November 15 titled “Save My Space: Hitchcock Woods”.

The lecture will be held at 11:30 a.m. in the Aiken Technical College amphitheater (700 building). The lecture is free and open to the public.

Rolka has been with the Hitchcock Woods Foundation since March 2015. Her previous experience includes working with the National Wild Turkey Federation and in Aiken County public schools as a teacher and guidance counselor.

The College’s Dynamic Dialogues lecture series engages students outside of the classroom and is an opportunity for students to learn from local guest speakers.

Other lectures planned for the 2017-18 academic year include:

  • February 7: “Documenting Our History: The Hamburg Massacre” with featured lecturers Milledge Murray and Wayne O’Bryant, both with the Heritage Council of North Augusta
  • March 7: “Woman’s Work: Unconscious Gender Bias” with featured lecturer Lindsey West, Ph.D., Interim Chief Diversity Officer at Augusta University

All lectures are free and open to the public.
