Sen. Shane Massey to be Guest Speaker for POST ChalleNGe Graduation

Aiken Technical College will host the POST ChalleNGe graduation ceremony Friday, May 26 at 2 p.m. in the Student Activities Center gymnasium.

South Carolina state Senator Shane Massey will be the guest speaker for the ceremony. Massey represents District 25 which includes Aiken, Edgefield, Lexington, McCormick and Saluda counties.

The POST ChalleNGe program is a collaborative effort between the South Carolina Army National Guard, Aiken Technical College, Clemson University’s Youth Learning Institute Camp Long facility, Lower Savannah Council of Governments’ Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, and Aiken County Public School District.

Cadets selected for the 20-week POST ChalleNGe program have an opportunity to earn applied science certificates from Aiken Technical College in high-demand fields such as welding, basic tower and wireless installation, production technology, computer technology, and patient care assisting. Participants may also earn additional credentials such as WorkKeys.

A reception will be held immediately after the ceremony. The public is welcome to attend.
