Spring 2018 Enrollment Quick Guide

Want to gain skills for a new career? Ready to start working toward a bachelor’s degree?

Aiken Technical College can help you reach your goals! Registration is now open for Spring 2018. Spring term 1 classes begin Monday, Jan. 8. Spring term 2 classes begin Tuesday, Feb. 27.

Ready to get started? Here is what you need to know:

Applying to ATC
It is free to apply to Aiken Technical College! You may complete the online application here. The new student admission deadline is Dec. 1.

Those taking the Accuplacer placement test can find tips and study information on the Test Center's Accuplacer page.

Financial Aid Options
Aiken Technical College offers many financial aid options including grants, loans and scholarships. South Carolina residents enrolled in six credit hours or more may be eligible for SC Lottery Tuition Assistance. This grant is not need- or income-based. 
For a complete list of financial aid options, visit the Financial Aid Office page. You may also watch short videos on various financial aid topics at ATC Financial Aid TV.

To be considered for financial aid, you must first complete and submit the 2017-18 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Once you've applied, be sure to check your email regularly for follow-up communications from the Financial Aid office.

Deferred Tuition Payment Plans are also available. Visit the Bursar's page to learn more about the plan's criteria, terms and conditions.

Enrolling at ATC
Enrolling at Aiken Technical College is easy! Visit our Academic Admissions page to find the steps to enrollment. View course offerings for Spring 2018.  Our Registration Information page answers your questions about the registration process.

Short on time? Join us for an upcoming Express Admission event to complete the enrollment process all in one day! Events will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30 and Tuesday, Dec. 12.

The Enrollment Services Center will be open on Saturday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Jan. 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The center will have extended hours until 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 5. (Normal center hours are Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.)

New Student Orientation
New students will be invited to join us for a New Student Orientation on Thursday, January 4 to learn about the resources available to you as a student, student experience activities, meet faculty and staff, and take a tour of the campus!

Additional details will be provided in a special invite to new students.

Maj. Gen. R. Van McCarty, Deputy Adjutant General for the South Carolina National Guard, will be the guest speaker for the POST ChalleNGe graduation Nov. 30. The ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. in the Aiken Technical College Student Activities Center gymnasium.
