Overview

Organizations depend on accurate financial information to guide decision-making and ensure effective operations. The Associate in Applied Science with a Major in Accounting program develops the technical and analytical skills needed to record, process, and analyze financial data and prepare reports used by managers and other stakeholders.

Students learn to record and post transactions, prepare adjusting entries and financial statements, and apply accounting principles to maintain accurate financial records that support business operations and informed decision-making. A graduate will be prepared to work independently or as a team member with management.

This program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

Admission to the accounting program is open to all students who have met the appropriate prerequisites or have acceptable placement scores. Students must successfully meet all applicable course prerequisites before enrolling in program courses.
