Certificate
Overview
The Advanced Welding Certificate is a one year, fast track program that starts with the same introductory welding processes and welding positions used in the Basic Welding Certificate and builds off those fundamental skill sets to train students on the more advanced welding joints and positions.
In the progression of this certificate program, students will be trained on how to successfully pass welder certification tests on carbon and stainless-steel plate and pipe, according to industry standards. Pipefitting or advanced fabrication are capstone options covered in the final semester.
Each welding course has an online lecture and an on-campus lab component, which will require the student to be in the welding lab for 6 hours each day.
