Certificate
Overview
The Basic Welding Certificate program introduces students to the four most common welding processes used in the welding industry. The certificate prepares students for an entry level position using the Shielded Metal Arc (“stick”), Gas Metal Arc (“mig”), Flux Cored Arc, and Gas Tungsten Arc (“tig”) welding processes.
Each of the included welding courses have a lecture and lab component. The online lecture component teaches the process theories as well as welding safety and identifying specific safety concerns within each welding process. The lab component will require the student to complete on campus, with hands-on welding exercises for 6 hours per day.
