Being away from my family, lacking financial resources, and carrying the weight of loneliness made me question whether I could really do this. There were moments when my spirit was low, and I wasn’t sure I had the strength to keep going. That’s when the Aiken Technical College Foundation and student success staff stepped in. They lifted that weight off my shoulders so I could focus on my academics. I received scholarships, support from the food pantry, and even emergency assistance when I needed it most. Those blessings reminded me that I was not alone.
