Our engineering programs can prepare you for immediate employment or set you up to transfer to a university to pursue a bachelor’s degree.
Associate in Applied Science: Major in General Technology - Emphasis in Engineering Graphics
This degree is the combined study of industrial drafting, computer-aided drafting (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing—to produce a drafter capable of creating detailed engineering drawings.
While completing these courses, a student may also enter the Occupational Studies - Emphasis in Engineering Graphics Technology Certificate.
Computer Aided Design (CAD) Certificate
For those who’ve already mastered conventional drafting skills, this program develops Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD) skills.
Engineering Transfers
For transfers, we offer two options:
The Engineering Transfer Certificate provides students with skills necessary for transfer to a four-year engineering program. Aiken Technical College has an articulation agreement with the University of South Carolina that allows transfer of all credits earned in the Certificate to USC-Columbia.
The Pre-Engineering Certificate is for students interested in pursuing a career or advanced education in a STEM-related field. These certificate courses are based on their transferability to engineering or engineering technology two-year and four-year degree programs. The course sequence provides broad exposure to various engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, industrial, manufacturing and civil engineering.
