2026 ATC Foundation Scholarship Breakfast
On March 4, 2026, the Aiken Technical College Foundation hosted its Annual Scholarship Breakfast, bringing together scholarship recipients, donors, faculty, staff, and the community to celebrate scholarship winners.
The breakfast focused on the impact of scholarships on Aiken Technical College students and recognized the generosity of donors and organizations whose support helps make higher education more accessible.
Student speakers Shantel McCleod, Landon Horton, and Alice Brown reflected on their journeys and the role scholarships have played in helping them pursue their academic and career goals. Their stories showed the importance of community support and the opportunities scholarships create for students balancing school, work, and family responsibilities.
McLeod, an Aiken tech nursing student, shared her experience of coming to the United States from Jamaica three years ago to pursue a better future through education. She spoke about the challenges she faced adjusting to a new country and balancing financial hardships as she pursued her degree.
“Your generosity became my foundation. It allowed me to thrive academically and personally to move from uncertainty to achievement,” McLeod said.
McLeod also expressed gratitude to the donors and supporters whose contributions helped make her educational journey possible.
“Your giving has done far more than remove financial barriers. It has opened doors of opportunity, restored hope, and changed the course of countless lives, including mine,” she said.
The Annual Scholarship Breakfast brings donors together with the students whose lives are directly impacted by scholarship support and celebrates the accomplishments of Aiken Tech students. More information about ATC Foundation scholarships is available at atc.edu/foundation.
