Commencement

Commencement exercises to award degrees, diplomas, and certificates are held annually, usually in May.

The 2023 Commencement Ceremony will be held Tuesday, May 2 at 7 p.m. at the University of South Carolina Aiken Convocation Center, 2049 Champion Way, Graniteville, SC 29829. No tickets are required.

Graduates should check their email regularly for important graduation details and updates.

 

Eligibility

A student is eligible for graduation when they complete the requirements for a degree, diploma or certificate. The student must complete an Application for Graduation and submit it to the Enrollment Services Center by the deadline for the appropriate semester.  For more information about the Application for Graduation, contact the Enrollment Services Center at (803) 508-7263 or admissions@atc.edu.

Students approved for graduation should regularly check the email address they provided on their Application for Graduation for updates and information related the ceremony.

 

Graduation Regalia and Other Items

Aiken Technical College partners with Jostens to provide graduation regalia and graduate-related items. Items can be ordered online via the Jostens website. The deadline to order regalia for the 2023 Commencement Ceremony is Friday, April 7, 2023.

The Hub also offers several items for graduates including ATC branded diploma frames, pins, and other ATC gear. Items can be purchased in-store or online at bookstore.atc.edu.

 

Pinning Ceremony

The School of Nursing and School of Health Sciences may hold pinning ceremonies for students completing their program of study. Such ceremonies are scheduled and organized by each division for their respective programs. Information about pinning ceremonies are provided by the program coordinator or department chair.

 

Alumni

Students automatically become Aiken Technical College alumni upon graduation. This comes with the honor of joining more than 13,000 alumni who have become leaders in their careers and communities.
