Commencement exercises to award degrees, diplomas, and certificates are held annually, usually in May.
The 2021 Commencement Ceremony was held Tuesday, May 4 at 7 p.m. at the University of South Carolina Aiken Convocation Center. The keynote speaker was Keyatta Priester, Community Development Manager with Aiken Electric Cooperative, Inc. Priester also serves as a Commissioner for Aiken Technical College's governing board, the Aiken County Commission for Technical and Comprehensive Education.

A student is eligible for graduation when they complete the requirements for a degree, diploma or certificate. The student must complete an Application for Graduation and submit it to the Enrollment Services Center by the deadline for the appropriate semester. The Office of Strategic Partnerships sends out information about the commencement ceremony in March. Students approved for graduation should regularly check the email address they provided on their Application for Graduation for updates and information related the ceremony.

Graduation Regalia and Other Items
Aiken Technical College partners with Jostens and The Hub (ATC Bookstore) to provide graduation regalia and graduate-related items. Students approved for graduation should refer to the email they receive from the Office of Strategic Partnerships for important details about purchasing regalia and deadlines.
The Hub offers several items for graduates including ATC branded diploma frames, pins, and other ATC gear. Items can be purchased in-store or online at bookstore.atc.edu.
The Nursing and Health Sciences divisions may hold pinning ceremonies for students completing their program of study. Such ceremonies are scheduled and organized by each division for their respective programs. Information about pinning ceremonies are provided by the program coordinator or department chair.
Students automatically become Aiken Technical College alumni upon graduation. This comes with the honor of joining more than 13,000 alumni who have become leaders in their careers and communities.
