Angel Tree Project fulfills holiday wishes

The holidays were made merrier for several Aiken Technical College students and their families, thanks to the college’s Angel Tree Project.

“The Angel Tree Project was an initiative designed to support students and their families in need during the holiday season. This effort was made possible through the generosity of faculty, staff, and some community members,” said Crystal Edwards, Aiken Tech’s Dean of Student Success and Retention.

Donors contributed items such as clothing, shoes, toys, bikes, books, gift cards, and household items to fulfill the holiday wishes of 25 students and 30 children.

Each family also received a bag from the college’s Knights Corner Food Pantry that included ham, macaroni and cheese, gravy, vegetables, mashed potatoes, and freshly baked goods.

The initiative is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to provide holistic support to students, including academic support, student wellness resources, and the campus food pantry and Blessing Box.
