Aiken Technical College Foundation Launches New Scholarship Application

Faculty & Staff promote new ATC Foundation scholarship application

More than $143,000 in scholarship funds available for 2016-2017 school year

(November 2, 2015, Aiken, SC) Aiken Technical College (ATC) Foundation has launched a new online scholarship application to make it easier for current and prospective students to apply for funds.

“The old process involved filling out a paper application and submitting it to our Foundation office. We were dealing with stacks of paper applications to read through, sometimes six pages per application,” said ATC Foundation Director Mary Commons. “This new application system was established to make it easier for current and prospective students to apply for scholarships, give them more time to apply and make the application process as seamless as possible.”

Starting today, current and prospective students can apply for more than $143,000 in scholarship funds for the 2016-2017 school year using the new user- and mobile-friendly application. To apply for a scholarship, current ATC students should go to www.atcf.awardspring.com. Prospective students should visit www.atcf.awardspring.com/Prospective/Signin.

A complete list of available scholarships and criteria can be found at www.atcfoundation.org.

Upon submission, applicants can view a list of scholarships they may be eligible for, added Commons. If applicants make a mistake in the application, they can also go back and edit their answers.

The priority scholarship application deadline is March 1.

All applications will be reviewed by a scholarship committee. Scholarships will be awarded to current students during the College’s Awards Night in April. High school seniors receiving scholarships will be recognized during their high school’s awards ceremony.
