Aiken Technical College Foundation to Celebrate Giving Tuesday

The Aiken Technical College (ATC) Foundation will inspire generosity by participating in a virtual and social media campaign during Giving Tuesday on December 1.

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. Giving Tuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on December 1, 2020, and throughout the year.

The ATC Foundation is proud to participate in Giving Tuesday to inspire giving to support Aiken Technical College students, said ATC Foundation Director Dr. Beth LaClair.

“Those interested in being a part of the Giving Tuesday movement can support students right here in Aiken County. Donations can be given to support scholarships, the ATC Blessing Box, Student Emergency Fund, as well as other initiatives,” said LaClair.

The ATC Foundation supports student scholarships, professional development for faculty and staff, facilities, educational equipment and materials, and program development and expansion at Aiken Technical College.

Giving Tuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
