Aiken Technical College receives ACE Award from BankMobile Disbursements

Aiken Technical College was recently awarded the Achieving Campus Efficiency (ACE) Award by BankMobile Disbursements powered by BMTX, Inc.

To be considered for the award, higher education institutions must have disbursed at least 90 percent of their refunds electronically during the 2022 calendar year and have at least 40 percent of their enrolled students complete the refund selection process, according to the BankMobile website.

“Receiving the 2022 ACE Award for achieving campus efficiency from BankMobile is a great honor. We are very proud to serve our students in the most efficient way possible, especially when it comes to distributing financial aid refunds,” said Aiken Tech Controller Betsy Cline.

Educating students about the process has been key, added Cline.

The Office of the Bursar staff provides students with information about BankMobile and how to set up accounts as part of the New Student Orientation and are readily available to answer questions and walk students through the process.

“Using BankMobile and refunding student funds electronically creates an efficient process that eliminates the need for processing paper checks,” said Cline. “This allows our team more time to spend with our students answering questions and assisting with their accounts.”
