ATC Foundation receives donation for Student Scholarship Fund

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. recently presented the Aiken Technical College Foundation with a donation to support student scholarships.

The $2,000 donation will support two scholarships—Bridgestone Americas Scholarship for students enrolled in technology programs and the Bridgestone Industrial Maintenance Scholarship for Females and Minority Students for students enrolled in industrial maintenance.

The company is one of the College’s long-standing donors and has supported scholarships to aid students pursuing higher education.

“For more than two decades, Bridgestone Americas has supported the Aiken County community through our financial donations and the commitment of our teammates,” said Mike Uhle, Human Resources Manager. “We are committed to education and to building a diverse talent pool. We want to help develop future employees who plan to stay local and grow with our company.”

New and current students interested in applying for this or other scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year may do so now through March 1. Please visit https://www.atc.edu/Foundation/Scholarship for more information on how to apply.
