Bridgestone Plant Manager Appointed to Aiken Technical College Governing Board

(March 3, 2016, Aiken, SC) The plant manager for Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations- Aiken Passenger/Light Truck Tire Plant has been appointed to the Aiken County Commission for Technical and Comprehensive Education, the governing board for Aiken Technical College.
  
Fran Jones was formally introduced as a member of the Commission during its monthly meeting Feb. 8.
  
“It is an opportunity to learn more about technical and comprehensive education programs available in our state,” said Jones about serving on the Commission. “I hope that I will be able to contribute my experience to the Commission as we look forward to getting the next generation ready for the workforce.”
  
In her current role with Bridgestone, Jones leads a team that manufactures more than 35,000 tires per day at the passenger/light truck Aiken facility.
  
Jones is involved in many civic endeavors in addition to the ACCTCE. She is the chairwoman for the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce board of directors, serves on the Community Medical Clinic of Aiken County board, and participates in many service projects with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and United Way.
