Continuing Education: Fiber Optic Technician

The Fiber Optic Technician course is a two-week course designed to train participants to become fully certified in fiber installation, maintenance, and support. This course provides the basic foundation needed to successfully earn three nationally recognized fiber optic certifications essential for success in either premises cabling (inside plant-ISP) or outside plant (OSP) fiber technician employment.

The course will be held September 4-15 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The course is free for South Carolina residents. To register, contact the Enrollment Services Center at (803) 508-7263. For more information or details, contact the Office of Continuing Education at conted@atc.edu.

Participants must be at least 18 years old, have at least a high school diploma or GED, and be committed to completing the program.
