Continuing Education: Tower Drone Pilot Course

The Tower Drone Pilot course is intended to help each participant earn their FAA-licensed drone operator certificate. Like a driver's license, this national-level certification authorizes you to operate drones for a wide variety of business purposes. The course also provides you with insights into how drones are being used to visually inspect and document the status of the 130,000 telecommunication towers in America, the majority of which are being shaped for 5G modernization.

The course will be held April 29 through May 10 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Class will meet Monday-Saturday.  The course is free for South Carolina residents; other funding may be available for out-of-state residents. To register, contact Patricia Whitfield at (803)  508-7362 or whitfiep@atc.edu.

Participants must be at least 18 years old, have at least a high school diploma or GED, and be committed to completing the program.
