Day of Service: Out of the Darkness Community Walk

Aiken Technical College has joined a community of people from across the country supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.

In support of this effort, ATC will participate in Aiken’s Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Sunday, November 7, at the H. Odell Week Center, 1700 Whiskey Road in Aiken, SC. Registration begins at 1 p.m., followed by the walk from 2-4 p.m.

If attending the walk, please wear an Aiken Technical College shirt to show our support for this worthy cause.

Other ways you can support:

  • Please help us reach our fundraising goal by donating to a team member. To donate online, visit https://supporting.afsp.org/team/AikenTech, select “Roster,” and choose one of the listed team members. Once you’re on their page, click “Donate Now.” Donations can only be made to individuals, but the total each participant raises goes toward our team goal. All donations are 100% tax-deductible and will help bring AFSP one step closer to achieving its bold goal to reduce the suicide rate by 20% by 2025.
  • You can also support by registering to join our team - click the “join our team” button on the online site, https://supporting.afsp.org/team/AikenTech.
