FAFSA Workshops
The Office of Financial Aid will host FAFSA Workshops from April 18-20 to help new and current students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2023-2024 academic year. The workshops will be held in the 700 building, rooms 767 and 786. Due to limited space, registration is required. To register, click on the link for the workshop you would like to attend:
The FAFSA is required to determine a student’s eligibility to receive federal financial aid such as grants, work-study, and student loans. In some cases, it is also needed to determine state and local funding eligibility.
Attendees will need the below information to complete the FAFSA. Those who are dependent students will need to bring information for their parent(s)/guardian(s) as well. For details on dependent vs. independent student status, visit https://studentaid.gov/apply-for-aid/fafsa/filling-out/dependency.
- Obtain an FSA ID to sign electronically
- Transcripts of household income
- Student’s/spouse’s prior year federal tax return and W-2 form(s), including schedule “C”
- Support or any other type of taxable or untaxable income.
- If under the age of 24, this same information must be provided for the parent(s) also.
- Documentation of assets
- Documents reflecting the balance/value of savings and checking accounts, CDs, stocks/bonds, money markets, business or farm, rental property, real estate (other than the home in which one resides), etc.
