New scholarship to benefit students in construction related programs
Aiken-based construction and design company Integrity Temple has established a new annual scholarship with the Aiken Technical College Foundation (ATC Foundation) to benefit students in construction-related programs.
“Skilled trades are essential to the strength and resilience of our community,” said Nadine Dorrington, Founder and Creative Director of Integrity Temple. “We are proud to partner with Aiken Technical College to support students who are pursuing careers in construction and technical fields. Investing in their education today helps ensure a capable, committed workforce for the future of our region.”
The selected scholarship recipient will receive $3,000 to cover educational expenses, including tuition, fees, textbooks, and program-related supplies.
Aiken Tech students interested in the scholarship should complete the ATC Foundation Scholarship to be considered. The application can be found online at https://www.atc.edu/Foundation/Scholarship.
Eligibility criteria include:
-
Be a South Carolina resident;
-
Be enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited trade or technical program at Aiken Tech, such as welding, HVAC, and electrical; and
-
Demonstrate commitment to a career in trades through work experience, community involvement, or personal goals.
“Partners like Integrity Temple make it possible for our students to turn technical training into real careers in our community’s high‑demand construction and skilled trades fields,” stated ATC Foundation Director Kym Johnson. “By easing the financial burden of tuition, fees, and program supplies, this scholarship allows students to stay enrolled, complete their programs on time, and step directly into well‑paying jobs that strengthen our local workforce. The Aiken Technical College Foundation and its trustees are grateful for Integrity Temple’s investment in Aiken Tech students and in the long‑term economic vitality of our region.”
