Office of Marketing and Communications earns state and regional awards

Aiken Technical College’s Office of Marketing and Communications has earned two awards for its 2024 Community Benefit Report publication.

The team received a 2025 Palmetto Award of Excellence from the International Association of Business Communicators-South Carolina Chapter in the publications category. The Palmetto Awards recognize exceptional projects and initiatives led by communications professionals from across South Carolina in both the public and private sectors.

The office has also earned the 2025 Gold Medallion Award from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations in the annual report category for District 2. The Medallion Awards recognize top work from community and technical college marketing and communications professionals throughout each of NCMPR’s districts. District 2 includes two-year institutions from 11 southeastern states, plus Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas.

The Community Benefit Report is an annual report produced by the Office of Marketing and Communications to showcase Aiken Tech’s key initiatives, programming, and accomplishments from the report’s calendar year.

“It’s an honor to have our efforts recognized at the state and regional levels. I’m proud of the effort, dedication, and creativity our team brought to this project,” said Nikasha N. Dicks, director of marketing and communications at Aiken Tech.
