Savannah River Nuclear Solutions Donates $5,000 to Aiken Technical College Foundation

Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS) recently donated $5,000 to the Aiken Technical College (ATC) Foundation for its Student Emergency Support Fund.

“Supporting students at a time like this provides assistance to those who are experiencing extreme hardship due to unexpected circumstances,” said ATC Foundation Director Dr. Beth LaClair. “Removing the barrier of acute financial stress allows for them to continue achieving their educational goals.”

The donation will be used for emergency assistance grants for students and to support the College’s Blessing Box.

“We are proud to partner with Aiken Technical College to improve technical and transportation access, which have been barriers for some time, and more recently exacerbated by the pandemic. Everyone should have the same opportunity for success, and we know this emergency fund will assist those who have been most impacted by the recent crisis,” said SRNS President and CEO Stuart MacVean.

Donations to the Student Emergency Support Fund can be made at www.atc.edu/foundation or by contacting the ATC Foundation at atcfoundation@atc.edu.

Students in need of emergency assistance may apply at www.atc.edu/foundation.
