Spring 2021 Enrollment Quick Guide

Aiken Technical College is ready to help you kick off the New Year by focusing on your goals! Whether you are continuing your education with us, or are just getting started, check out the information below to help you on your journey to success.

Semester Start Dates
The Spring 2021 semester classes will start Monday, January 11! Most classes will be delivered in an online or hybrid format. Visit our Course Listings page for a complete list of offerings.

  • January 11: Spring terms 1 and 2 begin
  • February 1: Spring late start term begins
  • March 2: Spring term 3 begins

Registration is open now for new and current students. See "Enrolling at ATC" for more information.

Applying to ATC
It is free to apply to Aiken Technical College! You may complete the online application here.

Those taking the Accuplacer placement test can find tips and study information on the Test Center's Accuplacer page. (New students should meet with an enrollment advisor before taking the Accuplacer test.)

Enrolling at ATC
Enrolling at Aiken Technical College is easy! Visit our Enrollment Services page to find the steps to enrollment. Our Registration Information page provides information about the registration process.

Current and new students may register for both spring and summer courses during registration.

All students must be advised before registering. (Online advisement appointments are available.) For more information, contact the Enrollment Services Center at (803) 508-7263.

Financial Aid Options
Aiken Technical College offers many financial aid options including grants, loans, and scholarships.

To be considered for federal student aid, complete the 2020-21 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov. Check your email or mail for further information regarding your financial aid package. You may be asked to submit additional forms or documentation. Financial aid forms are available online.

South Carolina residents enrolled in six credit hours or more may be eligible for SC Lottery Tuition Assistance. This grant is not need- or income-based. Students qualifying for Lottery Tuition Assistance may also be eligible for SC WINS funding based on their program of study or income.

Deferred Tuition Payment Plans are also available. Visit the Bursar's page to learn more about the plan's criteria, terms and conditions.

New Student Orientation
The Spring 2021 New Student Orientation will be held January 7. The virtual event will be an opportunity to learn about the resources available to you as a student, student experience activities, meet faculty and staff, and more! More details to be announced.

The committee is led by Aiken Technical College (ATC) and the University of South Carolina Aiken (UofSC Aiken), the presenters of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration held annually in January.

Day of Service: Out of the Darkness Community Walk

Aiken Technical College has joined a community of people from across the country supporting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s mission to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide.

In support of this effort, ATC will participate in Aiken’s Out of the Darkness Community Walk on Sunday, November 7.
