Aiken Technical College Employees recognized as the 2024-2025 SCTEA Educators of the Year

Three Aiken Technical College employees were recognized as Educators of the Year during the 2024 South Carolina Technical Education Association (SCTEA) conference. The employers are among SCTEA's Educators of the Year, an honor awarded to employees in the South Carolina Technical College System (SCTCS) who have contributed to furthering the System’s mission and have done outstanding work in their roles at their colleges.

Each college within the SCTCS selects honorees in the following categories: administrator, faculty, and staff. Aiken Tech’s award recipients are:

ATC Educator of the Year—Administrator: Brian Logan, D.C.

Brian Logan, D.C., currently serves as the dean of the School of Health Sciences. During his 18 years with Aiken Tech, he has held several roles, including biology instructor, biology program coordinator, biology department chair, and science department chair. In 2019, he was recognized as the College’s Faculty Member of the Year award recipient and, in 2022, as the SCTEA Educator of the Year-Administrator.

ATC Educator of the Year—Faculty: Clint Wiggins

Clint Wiggins currently serves as a Computer Technology Instructor. During his 21 years with Aiken Tech, he has served in several roles, including Computer Technology Department Chair, PTK Faculty Advisor, Program Review Chair, and the QEP Marketing Committee.

ATC Educator of the Year—Staff: Jill Golden

Jill Golden is the Administrative Specialist for the School of Health Sciences. Before her current position, she worked as an Assessment Specialist in the college's Office of Institutional Effectiveness. She has also served on campus committees such as the ATC Green Team and ATC United Way Committee.
