ATC Tower and Wireless Installation Program Becomes Model for National Initiative

National officials are looking to Aiken Technical College for one of the solutions in the country’s quest to be first to deploy new fifth-generation wireless technologies.

During a visit to the College on April 18, Commissioner Brendan Carr with the Federal Communications Commission announced an initiative to use the College’s tower and wireless installation program as the model for building similar programs throughout the country.

Aiken Technical College and Savannah River Nuclear Solutions Partner to Offer Free Resume Writing Workshop

Aiken Technical College has collaborated with Savannah River Nuclear Solutions to offer a free resume writing and interviewing workshop in advance of the College’s annual Career Fair.

The resume writing and interviewing workshop will be held Tuesday, April 2 from 1-3 p.m. in the amphitheater (700 building).

Aiken Technical College will host an Earth Day Sustainability Expo on Wednesday, April 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Activities Center gymnasium. The event is free and open to the public.

Leader of CSRA Alliance for Fort Gordon to be 2019 Commencement Speaker

Aiken Technical College will have its 2019 Commencement ceremony on Tuesday, May 7 at 7 p.m. at the USC Aiken Convocation Center, 2049 Champion Way, Graniteville.

Dr. Thomas J. Clark, executive director of the CSRA Alliance for Fort Gordon, will be the keynote speaker for the ceremony. As the executive director, he promotes and advocates for the Fort Gordon Cyber District and encourages support of cyber opportunities in the local region.
