Metallica Scholar: Marquita Marshall

Graniteville resident Marquita Marshall is a Metallica Scholar who enrolled in the CompTIA Network+ course through Aiken Tech's Office of Continuing Education.

Employment: Mobile Phlebotomy Technician at Mako Medical

Military Experience: U.S. Army Veteran


What does it mean to have tuition and fees covered?

“It means a lot, especially being a single parent and having to pay other bills and things like that, so having the cost covered means a lot. I don’t really have to worry about how I’m going to pay for this, how I’m going to pay for that. It’s a good thing.”

What interested you in the program?

“I’ve always had an interest in learning about computers. So I learned about the program through an advertisement on TV. I came in, did a walk-in, and that’s how I found out about this program.”

How do you plan to use your certificate?

“I plan to do either network engineering or something in cybersecurity.”
