Continuing Education: Basic Motorcycle Rider Course

The Basic Motorcycle Rider course is designed for individuals with little to no riding experience, and it teaches the basic techniques of riding a motorcycle. Instructors are certified by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation.

The course will be held September 22-24 (Friday: 6-10 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.). The course fee is $350. Contact the Enrollment Services Center at (803) 508-7263 to enroll. Participants must be eligible for a motorcycle driver’s license (minimum age: 15 years) and must be able to ride a bicycle to participate in the course.

Bikes are provided for the course. Students completing the Basic Rider course qualify for a South Carolina motorcycle license waiver. License waiver valid in South Carolina only.

Skilled, certified tower technicians are critical in supporting the telecommunications industry. As 5G, broadband, and fiber projects expand and increase, so does the need for this workforce.

To help address this workforce need, Aiken Technical College is offering a certified tower technician course from October 13-25.
