Aiken Technical College to Host New Students and Family Members at Annual Orientation Event

(August 7, 2015, Aiken, SC)  Aiken Technical College will host its annual New Student and Family Orientation on Tuesday, August 11 as the College prepares for the start of the Fall 2015 semester.

The College will welcome hundreds of students and their family members as they visit the campus to receive important information for a successful year at ATC. The orientation program will include a comprehensive presentation of College resources, guidelines and student life in addition to program-specific breakout sessions and brief talks from the division deans.

“This annual event has been a part of the College’s culture for many years and is a pivotal time in the students’ educational careers—both for traditional and non-traditional students,” said ATC Marketing & Student Experience Coordinator Tiffannie Hedin. “New Student and Family Orientation provides a smooth transition for our students to gather information and become acquainted with the campus, faculty, student leadership, and meet some of their peers.”

Registration for orientation will be held from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m. During this time, campus organizations will be available to provide incoming students with a variety of campus information.

Orientation will take place from 9:00 a.m. to noon in the Student Activities Center Gymnasium located in the 900 Building on the ATC campus. All new students are allowed to bring one guest over the age of 18.

To RSVP for orientation or for questions or assistance, please contact Tiffannie Hedin at 803-508-7433 or
