Class of 2022 Graduate Highlight: Nancy Lopez-Reyes

Aiken Technical College graduate, Nancy Lopez-Reyes earned her Associate in Arts: Criminal Justice Track in May 2022. During her time as a student, she made a positive impact on the college having served in the Campus Ambassador student organization, assisted with numerous campus events, tours, and more.

Lopez-Reyes said Aiken Technical College was closer to her home and more affordable. She was also rewarded scholarships and grants to pay for tuition.

“I feel like education here at Aiken Tech has been amazing, mostly because of all the help that is here for students. The instructors are always willing to answer any questions, there is always tutoring available, and there is plenty of involvement opportunities as well as networking and leadership opportunities,” Lopez-Reyes said.

Lopez-Reyes will attend Lander University in the fall. She has several credit hours that can transfer to the university.

“Lander has always been my dream school and I am extremely grateful that Aiken Tech was the bridge for me to get to Lander for fall 2022 as a junior majoring in criminology,” Lopez-Reyes said.

She added she was grateful for the opportunities she had and the people she met while here.
