Mission Statement

The Student Wellness & Accessibility Department (SWAD) supports the mental, emotional, and academic development of students by ensuring all students have equal access to campus resources, curricula, and services through expanded counseling, accommodations, and wellness practices. 

Services 

Counseling Services

SWAD is committed to ensuring access to mental health support service and working to increase the potential of every student by providing crisis intervention, nonemergency counseling, and emotional wellness support. 

Disability Services

SWAD assists students who have documented disabilities to make the most of his/her college career through various accommodations.

Wellness Center

SWAD oversees the Wellness Center to promote a healthy lifestyle and connect an active and strong ATC community. The Wellness Center is open for all ATC students, faculty, and staff. 

Campus & Community Resources

Aiken Technical College strongly believes in providing students with the tools they need to succeed. Our students' success is dependent on having the necessary resources to further and complete their education. Below is a list of resources throughout the community that can assist our students not only academically, but also during economic hardship.
