Federal grant enlists three SC colleges to increase access and placement in advanced manufacturing fields

Institutions that support excellence in workforce development love company. Accordingly, the U.S. Department of Labor has selected Piedmont Technical College, Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, and Aiken Technical College to form a consortium to develop a virtual Workforce Innovation Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Nursing — two sectors the agency identified as priority workforce needs.

SC Endeavors recently presented Aiken Technical College’s early childhood education program with $19,500 in funding to support program needs and professional development opportunities.

SC Endeavors is a professional development program in the South Carolina Department of Social Services Division of Early Care and Education.
