We are delighted that you have chosen to further your education at Aiken Technical College.

As you begin your educational journey with ATC, it is vital that you have an understanding of the College, available support services, and your rights, responsibilities, and academic expectations as a student.

To help you have a successful start, please plan to attend an ARISE new student information session.

If you are a freshman or transfer student, you are required to attend at least one ARISE New Student Information Session. These in-person sessions take place before each semester begins and are designed to help our newest Knights get ready for success!

The ARISE sessions cover the following topics:

• Academic Support (Tutoring Services and Academic Coaching)

• Readiness (Career Services)

• Information Technology (Tech Check)

• Student Services (Wellness and Accessibility)

• Engagement (Student Activities)

Campus tours are available by request after each session. Sessions for summer and fall 2026 terms to be announced.
