The Patient Care Assistant Program takes only two semesters to complete and builds the skills needed to work as an entry-level patient care technician. Graduates are eligible to take competency exams for state certification in Phlebotomy, Electrocardiography or Certified Nursing Assistant.
The Patient Care Assisting Program is certified through the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS).
